Home tutors in Dinajpur: in a thin market, buy reliability
Dinajpur is a long way from Dhaka, and the tutoring advice written for Dhaka is mostly useless here.
Advice written for the capital assumes a deep pool of subject specialists within a short ride, and its main worry is choosing between them. In Dinajpur the pool is real but shallower, distances are longer, and the main risk is not choosing badly — it is choosing somebody who quietly stops coming.
The district, and where the tutors are
Dinajpur Sadar is the centre, with Birampur, Birganj, Birol, Bochaganj, Chirirbandar, Fulbari, Ghoraghat, Hakimpur, Kaharol, Khansama, Nawabganj and Parbatipur around it.
Supply is concentrated in Sadar, around the agricultural and technology university and the medical college, and around the colleges in the town. Parbatipur and Fulbari have their own small pools. The rest of the district is genuinely thin, and the honest planning assumption outside Sadar is that you will find a capable generalist locally and will need to look further for a specialist.
Reliability is the thing to buy
In a thin market, the tutor who stays is worth more than the tutor who impresses.
Three questions that predict staying, better than any qualification does:
How far is it, and how will you come — in December, and in June? A tutor who has thought about the cold and the rain has thought about the year.
How many other tuitions do you have, and where? Somebody with three tuitions in three directions will drop the furthest one, and it may be yours.
What is your plan for the next twelve months? A student in their final year is likely to leave the district. That is not a reason to refuse them — it is a reason to know it in advance and plan the handover rather than discover it in March.
What a tuition costs
Among the lowest in the country, which is a real advantage for a household and a real constraint on the tutor. Both facts should shape the arrangement.
The practical consequence: pay on the same date every single month. In a low-fee market, punctual money is the main thing that distinguishes a household a tutor keeps from one they drop. It costs nothing and it works better than a raise.

Use online for exactly one thing
Not for everything. A young child needs a person in the room, and a good local tutor for the daily subjects is not improved by putting them on a screen.
Use it for the specialist paper — HSC Physics, Higher Math, Chemistry, or admission-test preparation with somebody who actually sat the test recently.
