Tuition Work for CUET, RUET and KUET Students
Most writing about tuition in Bangladesh assumes Dhaka. If you are at CUET, RUET or KUET, your market is different — smaller, less crowded, and in some ways easier to build a name in.
Less competition, steadier demand
Dhaka has thousands of university students competing for tuitions. Chattogram, Rajshahi and Khulna have a fraction of that, with families every bit as serious about HSC results and admission tests.
The practical effect: you are one of relatively few people in your city who cleared an engineering admission test recently. In Dhaka that is a common credential. In Rajshahi it is not.
Reputation also travels faster in a smaller city. One visible result reaches the next several families sooner than it would in the capital.
What the work pays
Rates outside Dhaka usually run somewhat below capital rates for the same subject and level — commonly Tk 5,000 to Tk 9,000 a month for three days a week at HSC level, more for admission preparation.
Set against that: rents and living costs are lower, and commutes are shorter. Two tuitions in Chattogram often leaves you better off in practice than two in Dhaka, once traffic and expenses are counted.
Admission coaching is where the gap closes entirely. A CUET student preparing someone for the engineering admission test is doing work very few people in that city can do, and can charge accordingly.
Teach beyond your city
This is the part most students outside Dhaka overlook.
Online tuition means your students do not have to be in your city. From Khulna you can teach a student in Jashore, Satkhira or Barishal — district towns where a student preparing for engineering admission may have no local option at all.
The demand is genuinely there and it is badly served. You do not need to move to Dhaka to reach it.
What families here ask for
Much the same as anywhere, in this order:
- Higher Mathematics and Physics at HSC level — the two subjects that decide results and that fewest people teach well
- Chemistry, particularly for medical admission candidates
- Admission test preparation for engineering and medical, which pays the most
- English, steady demand at every level
If you can teach the first two, you will not be short of work.

Families in Chattogram search "home tutor Chattogram" and "CUET student tutor". Whether you appear depends entirely on your profile:
- Your service areas. We publish tutors by area, and areas with no tutors are not listed at all. Leave this blank and you appear in no local search.
- Your university, in full. We also publish tutors by university. "CUET" typed properly puts you on that page; a blank field keeps you off it.
- Your subjects and levels, each one you are genuinely willing to teach.
That is a five-minute edit, and it is the difference between being findable and being invisible.
