Home tutors in Gazipur: fix the timetable before you fix the tutor
Gazipur runs on shifts, and a tuition that ignores that fails in the second month.
This is an industrial district — Gazipur Sadar, Kaliakair, Kaliganj, Kapasia and Sreepur — where a large share of households have at least one adult on a factory or mill schedule. The child's free hours and the parent's supervising hours are not the same hours, and the tutor's availability is a third set. Most failed arrangements here are timetable failures, not teaching failures.
Fix the timetable before you fix the tutor
Write down, before you speak to anybody:
- the days your child is genuinely free, not the days they are theoretically free
- the hour at which an adult is in the house
- what happens in Ramadan and at Eid, when shift patterns change
Then hand that to the tutor as a condition rather than negotiating it afterwards. A tutor who cannot meet it will say so in the first conversation, which costs you five minutes. A tutor who agrees vaguely will discover the problem in week six, which costs you a term.
The distances are bigger than they look
Gazipur Sadar, Tongi and the Board Bazar side are dense and well-supplied. Kaliakair, Kapasia and Sreepur are not. A tutor "in Gazipur" may be forty minutes from you on a road carrying trucks.
There is a second effect worth knowing: a lot of tutor supply here comes from students at the universities and colleges in and around Gazipur and Savar, and from people who commute to Dhaka. Both groups treat travel as the deciding factor. Name your area — Kaliakair, Kapasia, Sreepur, Kaliganj, Sadar — and you will get realistic replies instead of enthusiastic ones.

One thing to insist on: a single agreed monthly figure, fixed at the start. Not a base rate plus travel, plus exam-month extra, plus a raise in month three. When the schedule cannot be solved locally
Some households genuinely cannot host a tutor at a fixed hour on fixed days. If that is you, stop trying to force it.
