HSC Physics and Higher Maths Tutors in Chattogram: The Case for CUET Students
If your child is sitting HSC Physics or Higher Mathematics in Chattogram, the shortlist is short. A CUET student cleared an admission test built almost entirely on those two papers, recently, and then spent years on harder versions of the same work.
Why the admission test matters more than the degree
CUET admission is decided mainly on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, sat under time pressure against far more candidates than there are seats. A student who got in did precisely what your child is attempting — on the same syllabus, usually within the last two or three years.
That recency is worth more than most parents realise. A tutor who sat the paper in the current syllabus knows which problems eat the clock, which chapters the board keeps returning to, and where marks are quietly lost. A teacher who last sat it a decade ago is working from memory of a different exam.
The scheduling problem to solve first
The CUET campus is in Raozan, well outside Chattogram city. This is the single most important practical fact, and most families discover it the hard way.
A CUET student living on campus cannot realistically teach in Nasirabad on a Tuesday evening. The ones who can are those living in the city — often students from Chattogram who commute, or graduates who have stayed in the area.
So ask two questions before anything else:
- Where do you live during term? City or campus.
- Which days can you actually reach us, and at what time?
A tutor who says "any day" without asking your area has not thought about it, and will cancel by week three.

City-based engineering students cluster around:
- Nasirabad, Khulshi, Panchlaish — the largest concentration, and the easiest areas to fill
- GEC, Muradpur, Chawkbazar — well connected, good supply
- Agrabad, Halishahar — decent, though fewer for the hardest HSC papers
- Pahartali, Akbarshah — thinner; worth considering online
Students at Chittagong College, Hazi Muhammad Mohsin College, Government City College and Chattogram Cantonment Public College make up most of the HSC demand, and tutors know those syllabi and teachers well.
What it costs in Chattogram
Per subject, three days a week:
- HSC Physics — Tk 4,500 to 9,000
- HSC Higher Mathematics — Tk 5,000 to 10,000
- Both together — usually around 1.6 times one subject, not double
- CUET admission preparation — Tk 8,000 upwards, often in a small group

When a CUET student is the wrong choice
Be honest about the problem. If your child is struggling with Class 8 general Maths, an engineering student is an expensive answer to a question a general university student handles just as well, often more patiently.
The case for CUET is specific: HSC Physics, Higher Mathematics, and engineering admission preparation. Outside that, match the tutor type to the problem.
